Equipment:

Oven, Baking Sheet lined with a silicone mat, aluminum foil or parchment paper, small bowl, cutting board, pizza slicer or knife, spoon, tongs

Ingredients

2 Whole Wheat pita bread

¼ teaspoon sea salt

¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

¼ teaspoon onion powder (optional)

Pinch of ground black pepper (optional)

Olive oil cooking spray

Instructions

– Preheat the oven to 400°.  Line a baking sheet with either a silicone mat, aluminum foil or parchment paper.

– Slice the pitas into 8 triangles and line the baking sheet so they are not touching.

– In a small bowl combine any spices you will be using (garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper).

– Spray the pita with the olive oil and with a spoon sprinkle half of the seasoning blend.  Using tongs flip the pitas over, spray with olive oil and sprinkle the rest of the seasonings on the other side.

– Bake for 6 minutes, turn pitas over and bake another 6 minutes until golden and crispy.  If Remove and allow to cool.
